Mangrove Trimming and Other Waterfront-Related Projects
Mangroves are a vital part of Florida's aquatic plant and animal life. They provide shoreline stability and protection from storm surges and erosion. Due to the rapidly increasing development along the coast of Florida, mangrove habitats must be protected from further destruction. That is why the State of Florida enacted The Mangrove Trimming and Preservation Act (MTPA). This act regulates the alteration of mangroves, and the State of Florida enforces the statutes protecting mangroves.
Mangrove trimming is a very specialized field and can be confusing to someone without experience. At Coastal Planting Service, Inc., all mangrove trimming is performed under the supervision of a Certified Mangrove Trimmer. We work closely with our clients and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to maximize the client's enjoyment of their waterfront property.
